Do you know that feeling when the first gondola of the day is almost empty and fresh snow sparkles in the sun beneath you? In Fiss, that is not a rare moment of luck but everyday holiday life. The Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis ski area stands out for its family-friendliness and reliable snow: 214 km of slopes between 1,200 and 2,820 m.

From your apartment straight to the slopes

No ski boots in the car, no lugging your gear to the valley station. At the Birkenhof you stay right next to the Fiss cable cars and the Fiss ski school. Your skis stay overnight in the free ski depot at the cable car, and your boots dry in the heated ski and boot room in the house. In the morning that simply means: breakfast, get dressed, off you go. Your car stays in the car park by the house all week.

For little ski heroes

The first turns on their own, a big grin under the helmet and one ski story after another at dinner. That is exactly why families come to the mountains. Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis is made for families, with Bertas Kinderland, the Kinderschneealm and 8 fun parks for older kids. The Fiss ski school is right next to the house, and on request we are happy to put a cot and high chair in your apartment.

Winter away from the slopes

  • Cross-country skiing: Glide instead of race. Depending on snow conditions, the region's trail network grows to up to around 31 km, with the Wolfsee, Perdatsch and Pahl trails starting right in Fiss. All trails are groomed for classic and skating.
  • Tobogganing: Wind in your face, laughter, rosy cheeks. 10 km of toboggan runs await in Serfaus and Fiss, and on Thursday evenings you can go night sledging in Fiss.
  • Winter walking: Silence, wide views and crunching snow. On the panorama trail you walk from Serfaus to Fiss in around 1.5 hours.

    The Birkenhof is situated right next to the Fiss mountain railways and the Fiss Ski School. You can walk to the lift.
